Hou Minghao and Bai Lu’s Forgotten Drama Finally Gets Release Update

After spending nearly 9 years on the shelf, many viewers thought this drama would never see the light of day.

Originally filmed in 2017, the costume drama “Monkey King 3” starring Hou Minghao and Bai Lu has officially been renamed to #好女无双 / The Monkey King: Land of Beauty. The 36-episode series is now reportedly preparing for its long-awaited premiere exclusively on Tencent Video.

Synopsis: Hidden deep within the mountains lies the mysterious Kingdom of Daughters, a secluded land unknown to the outside world and inhabited entirely by graceful and beautiful women. Jiang Liu Er, a warm-hearted young man who enjoys transforming into monsters, begins a dangerous journey to the kingdom after dreaming of a mysterious woman who leaves a deep impression on his heart.

During his adventure, he meets a powerful and domineering martial artist, and together they enter the Daughter Kingdom to capture the demon Wu Shuang. Meanwhile, several legendary figures—including the Demon King Great Sage trapped beneath Wuzhi Mountain, an old pig who runs the Fengyue House, and a river demon—also gather in the kingdom, each carrying their own hidden motives.

As chaos grows both inside and outside the kingdom, Jiang Liu Er and his companions become caught in a web of danger, conflict, and mystery.
